Sponsorship is a part of the Canadian immigration system that allows individuals to come to Canada under the Family Class of immigration. It is a way to reunite family members in Canada who have been living in separate countries and enable those family members to attain permanent resident status.

Sponsorship Covers Two Canadian immigration programs

Sponsor Your Spouse, Partner, or Dependent Children

The person must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, and able to pay for their basic necessities financially.

Sponsor Your Parents and Grandparents

The applicant must be at least 18 years old, a citizen of Canada or a permanent resident of Canada, and in possession of sufficient funds and financial documentation to sustain the family.
