Potential applicants having the skills and expertise sought by the government may be eligible for a New Brunswick provincial nomination certificate through the NBPNP. Foreign citizens may then seek permanent residency in Canada after receiving this nomination.

Baseline Criteria for Eligibility

  • No familial or business links to any province other than New Brunswick.

  • CLB 5 is required in the IELTS exam.
  • Educational Credential Assessment and a minimum of two years of post-secondary education (ECA).
  • Net value of total assets between husband and wife of at least CAD$600,000 (minimum of $300,000 in liquid assets/cash required).
  • A minimum investment of CAD$250,000 is required.
  • Owning at least 33% of a new or existing firm in Canada.
  • A third-party audit business will verify all assets in the home country.

  • Applicants with certain occupations are preferred (i.e., Unless you have other investing expertise, banking experience would be a disadvantage).
