Canadian Business Investors Immigration

If the minimum qualifications listed below are met, professionals in any of the arts, cultural, and sports industries may be qualified to apply.

The major benefit of this program is that there are no language or educational prerequisites for eligibility.

In Canada, the government defines a self-employed person as a foreign individual with the appropriate expertise and intentions to substantially contribute to designated economic activities.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

  • Two of the previous five years have been spent in self-employment (this can be consecutive or non-consecutive);
  • Secure minimum threshold points based on the work experience, age, language, and education;
  • Present a business plan detailing how the business within the highlighted fields will be set up in Canada (directions on how to write the plan will be offered);
  • To be considered, candidates must demonstrate that they have achieved national or international recognition for their professional accomplishments (i.e., international event participation, awards, prizes, media and industry recognition, etc.).
